RUN! The Charlotte Christian cross-country team was off to a hot start having their first event at Cannon School. Team captain for the boys, Owen Cannon, posted an incredible time of 20 minutes and 16 seconds in a 3.1-mile track. Team captain for the girls, Kate Foster, posted a fantastic time of 25 minutes on the dot. “We are a young team with some learning to do. But overall we have a lot of potential going forward” said captain Owen Cannon. The team was excited for the season and could not wait to see what was in store for each and every one of them. The team had six more events to run that season. Then following those events, the top seven runners went to the State event! The team was full State contenders, so there was no telling who could make it. Matthew Boelkins recieved the Dedication award. Mason Williams got the Most Improved Runner award. Owen Cannon recieved the Top Male Runner award. Melissa Howard recieved the Determination award. Kate Foster recieved Top Female Runner award.
