It’s time to make your way to the Lamb Johnson Gym because basketball season is underway. With the guidance of Coach Boythe, the team has spent many hours preparing for the season by learning new plays and working on their overall fitness and endurance. The girl’s varsity team is full of talent and are ready to bring home some wins. After one of the best players Charlotte Christian has ever known, Kerstie Phills, graduated last season, the team is ready to keep everyone in the stands impressed, and has hopes for the young girls coming up. Key returners on the team are seniors Gerlea Patton, Emma Giller, and Melissa Goldstein. Each of there girls have been great leaders to the underclassman, instilling in them some of the key qualities they will need when they become the senior leaders. The team has a lot of young talent, with five freshman making the thirteen man roster, which excites everyone for the future ahead.

The team has their first game is Friday, November 18, at Christ the King School in Huntersville. Their first home game is next Tuesday, November 22, so be sure to come out and support your Lady Knights!

Good luck on the rest of the season, ladies! We can’t wait to cheer you on.
