Josh Eboboko was right – Charlotte Christian just can’t be stopped.

They proved that once again last Friday night after ending High Point Christian Academy’s undefeated record. The final score was 44-12.

One of the key players of the offense was senior Justus Woods; he ran all over High Point’s defense and finished the night with 4 touchdowns. The only other touchdown came from a 67-yard pass to Josh Eboboko.

In the midst of the game, junior quarterback Garrett Shrader hurdled over defenders and then proceeded to “break ankles” as he fought for yards. The video has now gone viral and was posted by Bleacher Report on Instagram and Twitter last night.

If you’ve been to any of the games this year, you’ve started to notice the same thing we have – our defense is amazing. From pressuring the quarterback to tackles for a loss to turnovers…our defense does it all. Senior Chris Lohoff-Gaida picked off the quarterback and junior Obi Egbuna recovered a fumble. In the second quarter of the game, sophomore JB Awolowo recorded his third pick 6 this season. Keep in mind, we’re only five games in.

“I felt like it was a great team effort on all sides of the ball. We obviously still have work to do, but we played with heart and thankfully came out with the win,” says Justus Woods.

The job isn’t done yet; conference play starts this week. On Friday, the team will travel to Country Day School (who are currently 4-2). Come out and support your Knights on the road!
