Julia Hannum came to Charlotte Christian in 2014 and immediately made an impact on campus as she quickly got involved in sports and clubs. 4 concussions later, she is still involved and enjoying the awesome environment of CCS with her countless friends.

Julia Hannum is a student-athlete by definition. She is a three-season athlete as she participates in tennis, swim, and soccer. She loves the atmosphere and unity that being on a team brings and how it allows you to connect with all the upper and lower classmen. She has earned many soccer awards, as she has always been a fantastic teammate on and off the field.

Julia is well known for her bizarre eating habits – from her weird breakfast meals to her “vegetarian diets”. Julia has declared herself a vegan, but she will take exception to the chicken from Chick-Fil-A because, after all, it’s “Christian chicken.”

Julia has the unique opportunity of only being able to celebrate her birthday once every 4 years…yes that’s right, she was born on a leap year. She is 17 years old but, technically, she is only 4 because February 29th has only occurred on 4 occasions during her lifetime.

Julia is a middle child who enjoys spending time with her older sister, Madison, a junior at Auburn University, and her younger brother, CJ who is a sophomore at Charlotte Christian. Julia also spends lots of time with her friends in and out of school that she has become close with through Windy Gap and various J-Term mission trips.

Julia is thankful for Charlotte Christian not just because of all the friends she has made but also because she has grown a lot spiritually while here at CCS. She says that she has learned a lot about herself and her faith as she has experienced a lot of growth from the different events but also the everyday things like bible class and the various chapels.

Julia said that she is ready for college because she knows that the bible teachers here have well prepared her to defend her faith at whichever university she attends. We will miss you next year, Julia!
