Have you ever met someone who has literally had her eyelashes kicked off of her face? It seems crazy, but yes, you have. You most likely had no idea at the time though.

Lauren Wiggins is always up for having a good time with her friends and one of these times, she walked away with fewer eyelashes then she walked in with. She loves to laugh and her outgoing personality and bright smile shines through in every interaction with her.

Lauren Wiggins has been attending Charlotte Christian for eight years. During her time here, Lauren has heavily contributed to the volleyball program. She began playing volleyball in the seventh grade and has been participating in the program since. She played on the middle school team, as well as JV her freshman year and has played on the varsity team since her sophomore year.

When not on the volleyball court or in the classroom, you can find her at work in Cole Haan, an upscale footwear retailer. Lauren is also involved in the Best Buddies Club here at Charlotte Christian.

In the Best Buddies Club, students go to events in the community for special needs children where they participate in different sports and games, it is basically their own Special Olympics. The volunteers cheer the kids on and spend time with them throughout the event. Last year, the club was only able to attend two events, but Lauren says that the club members are trying to make it to as many events as possible in the Charlotte area this school year. ‘

Despite the fact that she is prone to falling asleep in class, Lauren has stayed focused on her academics, earning herself a spot on the Honor Roll. She would like to study business in college, but is unsure about the exact path she wants to go down in the future. Not only has Charlotte Christian impacted Lauren in her academics, but she says that her relationship with God has gotten stronger in her eight years at CCS.

Thank you, Lauren, for your impact on Charlotte Christian in your time at school here. We are going to miss you next year, but we are all so excited to see what God has in store for this next chapter of life!
